Kidrobot Creates Children's Show For Nick Jr.?

You heard right. Kidrobot, the world’s premier creator and retailer of limited edition art toys and apparel has ventured into the realm of children's entertainment. Their newest show Yo Gabba Gabba! was recently launched on Nick Jr., and has thus far been a big hit amongst the kiddos.

In Kidrobot's words, "Yo Gabba Gabba! is a live action children's show focused on being active and learning life lessons. Beat driven music with simple melodies encourages both children and parents to sing and dance along. The action takes place in a miniature play world with friendly and fun toys that come to life when the host, DJ Lance Rock, says the magical words 'Yo Gabba Gabba!' Short animations and fun interstitials are sprinkled between musical segments that keep our young viewers guessing what could possibly happen next."

As expected from Kidrobot, this isn't your ordinary run-of-the-mill children's programming. Sure core values such as nutrition, exercise, friendship and family are covered, but it doesn't stop there. I mean, what other children's show do you know of that lets Biz Markie school the kids on beat boxing?

I for one think this is great. I'm all for building children's creativity during their early development. And if Kidrobot can sell a couple hundred more toys in the process, I say go for it.
